=== The Singing Festivals === Several times a year β at the solstices and at moments the Elders declare to be significant based on the forest's rhythms β the communities gather for '''Singing Festivals''' [1]. These are communal Tapping events where dozens or hundreds of people consume Shaladh together and enter the network simultaneously [1]. The experience is described as overwhelming: a sensation of being one node in a vast, ancient, breathing intelligence [1]. These festivals serve practical purposes β collective communication with the forest about the coming season, large-scale negotiations about growth and settlement β but are also deeply spiritual events [1]. Many of Black Heath's oral traditions, songs, and stories originate from impressions received during Singing Festivals [1].
